WHAT IS A RENTAL AGREEMENT?

The Rental Agreement is a contract between the Customer and Correntoso Rent a Car. It establishes the conditions of the rent, including the number of days, kilometers available, prices, type of insurance, among other important concepts. Two copies are made and signed..    

WHAT TYPES OF RENTAL CARS ARE AVAILABLE?

We have several car models available. They are grouped by Categories and it is not possible to reserve a specific model and brand (but a Category obviously). WHAT DOES "SIMILAR" MEAN?

Many times when a quote is made and the vehicle model is detailed according to the Category, the term "or similar" is often used to avoid mentioning all the models available in the same. HOW MUCH KILOMETERS CAN I DRIVE WITH MY RENTAL CAR?

The number of kilometers available to travel with your vehicle will depend on the mileage option you have chosen at the time of taking it. CAN I RENT A VEHICLE FOR ANOTHER PERSON?

Yes, it is possible to make the rent for another person as long as the person who is in charge of the rent meets the requirements for rent (Driver's License, ID / Passport and Credit Card).

The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 years.

WHAT CASES WILL I BE CHARGED FOR AN ADDITIONAL DAY?

We will quote you one more day of rent, when the cost of the overtime exceeds the value of the rent of an additional day.

IS THERE AN ADDITIONAL COST FOR YOUNG DRIVERS?

No, there is no additional cost for young drivers. Keep in mind that, in order to rent a vehicle, you must be over 21 years of age and have your current Drivers License.

DOES WINTER TIRES PROVIDE TO DRIVE?

In winter, all our vehicles are equipped with snow covers, which allows better control of the vehicle during rainy, frost and snowy days. In turn, we also provide snow chains that can be placed at times where it is difficult to pull the covers (in snow / mud).

WHAT TYPE OF DRIVER LICENSE DO I NEED TO RENT A CAR?

You can rent your car with the Driver's License of your country of residence or use the International Driver's License.

CENTRAL OFFICE

ARE THEY OPENED ON SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS?

Our office is open every day from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 16:30 to 20:30. With the exception of the following holidays: May 1, December 25 and January 1. Do not worry, if you have rented a car for a period that covers one of these days, you will have an emergency number so that you can contact us if necessary.

CAN I RETURN THE CAR IN AN OFFICE FOR RENT DIFFERENT WHERE TO HAVE THE SAME?

At the moment, we only have an office in the center of Bariloche. However, it is possible to arrange different places of return of the vehicle, such as El Calafate, San Martin de los Andes, Villa la Angostura, among other possibilities. WHAT IS A CAR CATEGORY? WHY DO I NEED TO KNOW?

We have available different models of vehicles that are grouped in categories according to the qualities of the same. For example: vehicles 3 doors, 5 doors, 4 doors with trunk, for 6/7 passengers, among others. It is necessary to know, since knowing this information will allow you to choose the type of vehicle that best suits your trip.

HOW TO RESERVE YOUR RENTAL CAR

HOW CAN I RESERVE A RENTAL CAR?

Once you have received our quotation and you agree, you can contact us to carry out the reservation of the vehicle. To book the vehicle, a deposit of 30% of the rental fee is required. The same can be paid with Credit Card, Debit, Market Payment, Western Union / Money Gram or through a Bank Transfer / Deposit. We will inform you the steps to take depending on how to pay the rent you have chosen.

HOW IS MY RESERVATION CONFIRMED?

Once you have paid the amount corresponding to the reservation of the vehicle and the same has been credited, you will receive in the box of email that you gave us an email with the confirmation of your reservation.

HOW TO PAY YOUR RENTAL CAR

HOW DO I PERFORM THE PAYMENT OF THE RENTAL CAR?

The payment of the rental car can be made in Cash, Credit / Debit Card or through Mercado Pago. In the first instance, 30% of the reservation fee of the vehicle is paid and the rest is paid at the time of taking the vehicle. With the exception of Mercado Pago, in that case, the total rent is paid in advance.

WHEN DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE RENTAL CAR?

At the time of taking the vehicle the total rent must be paid. 30% will be pre-paid, at the moment of making the reservation and will subtract 70% at the time of making the contract and the delivery of the vehicle.

CAN I PAY WITH DEBIT CARD?

Yes, you can pay the rent with a Debit Card.

WHAT CREDIT CARDS CAN I USE?

DELIVERY AND RETURN OF VEHICLE

CAN I REQUEST THE DELIVERY OF THE CAR TO ADDRESS OR IN A SPECIFIC PLACE?

The delivery of the vehicle can be done in our Central Office, Bariloche International Airport, Bus Terminal or Hotel in the city where you are staying. You only have to inform us where you want to take the vehicle so we can confirm if it is possible to deliver at a specific address or place.

HOW DO I RESERVE THE DELIVERY OF THE RENTAL CAR AT HOME OR IN A SPECIFIC PLACE?

In case you want to take the vehicle somewhere other than our Central Office, you must inform us at the time of requesting your quote. The delivery at the Bariloche International Airport, at the Bus Terminal and / or at the Hotel of our City where you are going to stay has no additional charge; but it is important that you mention it to us so that we can coordinate with you and guarantee delivery to the place.

DO I HAVE TO BE PRESENT AT THE TIME OF THE DELIVERY AND RETURN OF THE CAR?

Yes, it is very important that you are present at both times. When we deliver the vehicle we will review the car together. You must be present to give the conformity of the same. At the moment of returning the vehicle we will proceed to review it, and once it is corroborated that the same is in the same conditions, we will proceed to return the warranty voucher.  

DELIVERY OF THE RENTAL VEHICLE

I DO NOT FIND MY DRIVER LICENSE. CAN I COLLECT MY RENTAL CAR FOR ANY WAY?

Unfortunately it is not possible to take the vehicle without the Driver's License. You must present the same at the time of taking the vehicle - do not forget that the same must be in force -.

WHAT DOCUMENTATION DO I HAVE TO PRESENT WHEN COLLECTING THE RENTAL CAR?

In order to withdraw your rental vehicle, you must present your current Drivers License, ID / Passport and Credit Card. The latter is independent of the way the payment is made, as this will be used to make the guarantee voucher.

THE ADDITIONAL CONDUCTOR MUST ALSO BE PRESENT AT THE TIME OF COLLECTING THE RENTAL VEHICLE?

It is not necessary. Please note that additional drivers are free of charge. As long as you have the current Driver's License, the additional driver can drive our vehicles without notifying us. It is important to note that there is always the final responsibility of the contract holder.

IS IT NECESSARY TO ARRIVE BEFORE THE TIME TO COLLECT THE RENTAL CAR?

Your vehicle will be ready at the time set in the reservation. If you take the vehicle in our office, you can approach 10 minutes before the schedule already set for us to move forward with the rental agreement.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I GO TO COLLECT THE RENTAL CAR AFTER THE AGREEMENT?

The schedule of the rental agreement will begin to run from the time established in the reservation. In case of delays we request that you indicate us so that we can coordinate a new delivery schedule.

MY FLIGHT ARRIVES OUT OF HIS HOUR. CAN I PICK UP THE RENTAL CAR FOR ANY WAY?

If your flight arrives between 08:00 and 21:00, the delivery at the Airport of Bariloche will have no additional charge. In case your flight arrives between 07:00 and 08:00, and between 21:00 and 23:00, there is an additional charge. Finally, if your flight arrives after 23:00 hs we can offer the delivery of the vehicle the next morning at the Hotel in our city where you are staying, with no additional charge.

RETURN OF RENTAL VEHICLE

HOW IS THE PROCESS OF RETURN OF THE RENTAL CAR?

The vehicle must be delivered at the place and time stipulated in the Rental Agreement. A member of our team will meet with you. He will have your contract and your guarantee voucher, and will proceed to review the vehicle. If the vehicle is in the same conditions we will return the voucher, and we will sign on your copy of the contract that the return has been done correctly. Do not forget to return the vehicle with the tank full.

IF I RETURN THE RENTAL CAR BEFORE I WILL REFUND THE DIFFERENCE?

There is no refund for the return of the rental car before the scheduled date and time.

CAN I EXPECT AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE TO RETURN MY RENTAL?

In the preparation of the contract, Correntoso Rent a Car we take the time to explain in detail the conditions of the insurance, the operation of the franchises, the level of gasoline, the values of overtime, our emergency telephone numbers, among other important points. In addition, we did a joint review of the vehicle, where we described the most important details of the unit in the lease; you can take photos and / or film the vehicle without any problem, for your safety. All this allows you to have 100% of the information so that you are aware that if the vehicle does not return under the same conditions, there may be additional charges / charges.

CAN I EXPECT AN ADDITIONAL COST FOR THE CLEANING OF THE RENTAL CAR IN THE EVENT THAT IT IS DISSAPOINTED?

The cost of basic cleaning of the unit is included in the rental value. If additional external or internal cleaning is necessary, it must be charged at the reception of the vehicle, for example: stains / odors in upholstery by overturning of substances or vomiting, etc. In case internal or external dirt prevents the correct check of the vehicle, the warranty voucher will be retained until it is cleaned and checked.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I RETURN THE RENTAL CAR WITH ANY DAMAGE?

We know this is the biggest concern that comes up when renting a car. But do not worry, since at the time of taking the vehicle we will review it together to note the existing damages. In addition, it is allowed to take photos and / or film the unit at the time of delivery. In the event of any damage, you must pay the full amount of the repair. If the value of the repair exceeds the value of the franchise, then it is the latter that must be paid.

I'M GOING TO RETURN THE RENTAL CAR AFTER THE PAUSED. IT CAN?

You can transfer the amount already paid as a deposit for a future reservation of yours, or for a family member or friend. It is important to note that future rental prices may change depending on the time you choose to travel.

CAN I ADD AN ADDITIONAL CONDUCTOR TO MY RESERVATION?

Of course yes. You can add any additional drivers you want. They have no additional charge.

CAN I ADD AN ADDITIONAL CONDUCTOR TO MY RESERVATION, AFTER I HAVE RECEIVED THE RENTAL CAR?

RENTAL INSURANCE

IF YOU STEAL MY SELF, DO I HAVE COVERED MY PERSONAL EFFECTS?

The insurance does not cover personal effects. That is why we recommend that, during your walks, do not leave personal effects inside the car, when parking the vehicle.

WHAT IS THE AMOUNT OF THE RENTAL CAR RENTAL FRANCHISE?

The amount of the franchise varies according to the Vehicle Category, and according to the concept; for example, in case of "Partial Damage", the maximum value to be paid is different than in the case of "Total Duel or Destruction". These values will be explicitly detailed when consulting for a quote.

HOW DOES RENT INSURANCE WORK?

The rent insurance is an extremely significant topic within the rental of the vehicle. It has rights and obligations between our agency, Correntoso Rent a Car, and the Customer; and it is important to clarify that there is NO direct relationship between insurance conditions between Correntoso Rent a Car and the Customer with respect to the conditions that Correntoso Rent a Car has with the Insurance Company, in our case La Segunda.
All lease contracts have insurance, which details with complete precision the economic liabilities against all types of loss; below the specific performance detail inCorrentoso Rent a Car:
STANDARD INSURANCE:
1) The total theft of the vehicle, damage to third parties transported and not transported and civil liability is covered in 100%. Beneath the practical examples:
- If the vehicle is completely stolen, then the Customer should not pay anything.
- If the vehicle has an accident with another vehicle, the Client must NOT pay any damages related to the other vehicle (third parties), nor to its occupants nor to the injured persons who may be currently traveling on the street. Within the rented vehicle, any person who suffered damage and who did not have a relationship of married, siblings, parents, children, grandchildren and grandparents, will have 100% coverage (except driver).

2) For damages (partial) in our vehicle, the Customer must pay them up to a maximum value (called FRANCHISE). This franchise is fixed according to the categories of cars. Then, if the FRANCHISE is $ 450,000, the Client must pay all repairs up to $ 450,000. If the value to be repaired is greater than the FRANCHISE, that difference is covered by insurance.
Examples: If the damage of a vehicle is $ 100,000 the Client must pay $ 100,000. However, if the damage is $ 1,000,000 .- then the Client must pay the value of the franchise: $ 450,000 and the difference will be covered by the insurance.

3) In case of Duelco or Total Destruction of the car, the value of the FRANCHISE is higher.
For example, if the FRANCHISE for Vuelco or Total Destruction is $ 900,000, then the Client must pay all repairs up to $ 900,000. If the value to be repaired is greater than the FRANCHISE, that difference is covered by insurance.

4) DOES NOT HAVE COVERAGE IN CASE OF: Partial burglaries (eg, auxiliary wheel), breakage of glass, breakage of locks, engine casting by negligence (Example No. 1, do not heed oil alert and continue driving; Example # 2: Stepping on the throttle to maximum in neutral, etc.), fines, parking charges.

CAN INSURANCE BE IMPROVED?

In Correntoso Rent a Carwe offer the possibility to extend insurance coverage (reduce Customer's responsibilities), which is called PREMIUM INSURANCE. It implies an additional charge to be paid by the Client and added to the rental agreement (for example: $ 5,000 per day). It contains the following improvements:

1) Reduction of Partial Damage Excess and also Capsize or Total Destruction. For example: reduced from $ 450,000 to $ 60,000, being the last value the new maximum to be paid for damage to the vehicle and it is also reduced from $900,000 to $60,000 for Rollover/Total Destruction.

2) Full coverage of Windshields, Windows, Locks and Partial Thefts (except stereo and chains - does not cover belongings).

CHILDREN'S CHAIRS

CAN I BRING MY OWN CHILD SAFETY CHAIR?

Of course you can bring your own child safety seat. However, we know that often traveling to the destination with the chair is uncomfortable; and for this reason we offer the children's chair without extra charge, so you can enjoy your holiday without worries. All we require is that you let us know, at the time of booking, how many chairs / booster will be needed and the approximate weight of the child, so that we can assign the appropriate chair.

DO YOUR CHILD SAFETY STANDS COMPLY WITH ALL PROTECTION STANDARDS?

COMBUSTIBLE POLICY

WILL I RECEIVE MY RENTAL CAR WITH THE FULL TANK?

Yes, the vehicle is delivered with full tank and must return in the same way.

WHAT TYPE OF FUEL DOES MY RENTAL AUTO USE?

All our vehicles are nafteros and use Nafta Super 95 (in Chile, denominates Bencina 95).

WHERE IS MY NEAREST SERVICE STATION?

If the vehicle is returned to the Downtown Office, there is a Service Station two blocks away. If the vehicle is returned at the Airport, a final charge will inevitably be made in the city of Bariloche.

DRIVING IN CHILE

CAN I DRIVE MY CAR IN CHILE?

Of course yes. In order to be able to drive through Chile it is necessary that we give them a permit so that they can cross the border without inconveniences. This permit does not have an additional cost, but it is essential that we request it in advance.

DO I NEED AN INTERNATIONAL DRIVER LICENSE TO DRIVE IN CHILE?

WHAT DO I DO IF I'M NOT SATISFIED WITH THE STATE OF MY RENTAL CAR?

In Correntoso Rent a Car we are committed to delivering a vehicle in perfect mechanical conditions, properly cleaned internally and externally, with perfect condition of covers and liquids, and with all the dispositions working properly, such as for example: air conditioning, heating, belts security, etc. If any of these qualities are not met, we will change the unit. You can contact us by phone (data found in the rental agreement) or visit our central office to evaluate the points in disagreement together.
However, if the unsatisfied conditions correspond to the size of the reserved vehicle, its functionalities / factory dispositions; for example motor size, color and other characteristics of the category (for example: trunk size), then we can offer a car of a higher category to consider paying the difference.

WHAT CAN I DO IF I SEE ANY DEFECT IN MY RENTAL CAR THAT IS NOT REFLECTED IN MY CONTRACT?
